What Exactly Does ADT Service Do?

ADT service installs and monitors alarm systems. Basically, when an alarm is triggered one of ADT’s Customer Monitoring Centers (better known as CMC) receives a signal from the alarm system. There are many different things that can trigger a signal: carbon monoxide, manual depression of a holdup/ duress button, a fire or an intrusion. Once the CMC specialist receives the signal he or she decides what the best response is to that particular signal. The specialist will usually call first to see if the alarm was falsely set off. If help is needed, the specialist will send the police, fire department or EMS depending on the type of signal.

A wireless security system has a built-in power supply instead of a lot of messy wires that will run all over your house. If your power goes down for any reason (say a burglar cut your power source) your wireless security system will still protect you.
